First things first, we need to focus on MainStage's audio preferences and MIDI settings to ensure that all of our connections are set and working properly for use on Sundays.

In this lesson we focus on the first of three workspace views that are used to build the core elements of MainStage concerts: the Layout Tab. You will also begin creating your very own custom template.

The second of the three workspaces is the Edit view. In this lesson you'll learn how to: navigate the “Edit Tab” with efficiency; use concert level, set level and patch level; create channel strips/ instruments; map buttons/faders to control parameters; create and save your own patches; and much more.

This lesson is a continuation of the “Edit” mode, focusing on layering channel strips together, splitting instruments to different ranges, adjusting instrument MIDI settings, transposing instruments and more.

In this lesson we transition from template layout and dive deep into sound design and synth fundamentals, including: oscillators, LFOs, envelopes, filters, waveforms and much more. You'll come away with everything you need to know to start designing sounds on your own. You'll also learn how to get an awesome Worship pad sound from scratch.

This is our longest and most in-depth lesson in the course. We'll walk you through all MainStage 3 audio effect plug-ins and teach you what they do, how they are used, and in what context to use them in order to get the best possible sounds. You will also learn how to use MainStage VSTs with proficiency - including ES2, EXS24, Retro Synth and more.

Building on your understanding of VSTs and audio effects, in this lesson you'll learn how to control all Midi FX in MainStage 3, and how to incorporate them into your keys rig for Worship. You'll also learn about audio buses, aux channels and effect sends to help polish your sound and clean up your template.

And finally, with a fully functioning template and some great sounding patches in the bag, you'll learn about all the CPU tips and tricks that you can incorporate into your template that will help save you from audio spikes, feedback and other issues related to CPU. You’ll learn about advanced CPU settings, mapping parameters to bypass, utilizing Aux sends/busses, using aliases, and more.
